Description: During Anderson's New Year's Eve show (airing Monday, December 26), Patrick Dempsey surprises the real-life "Grey's Anatomy" heroes, 10-year-old Madisyn and 12-year-old Kateyln, who made headlines for using CPR to miraculously save the life of Madisyn's mom, Kandace.
"How do you both know CPR?," asks Anderson.
"From Grey's Anatomy," say Katelyn and Madison.
Using the medical behavior learned from watching the hit ABC show, Madisyn dialed 911 and began mouth-to-mouth resuscitation on her mom, while Kandace began chest compressions. This lasted about 4 minutes until Kandace regained consciousness.
"After hearing this, what is this like for you?" Anderson asks Kandace.
"It's very surreal," says Kandace. "I've been watching Grey's Anatomy since season one, and I'm a diehard Patrick Dempsey fan since the movie "Lover Boy."
