Anderson Cooper is done playing with the Human Barbie.
The talk-show host cut short his interview with controversial British mother Sarah Burge on Tuesday, telling the plastic surgery addict he found her "dreadful."
"I honestly have nothing more to talk to you about, I've got to be honest," Cooper said on his syndicated daytime show “Anderson,” looking disgusted as his studio audience applauded loudly. “I try to be really polite to all my guests. I just think you’re dreadful and I honestly don’t want to talk to you anymore.”
Burge, 51, gained worldwide attention when she announced she’d given her 7-year-old daughter a “voucher” for breast implants, to be redeemed after turning 18.
Nicknamed the “Human Barbie” for her self-proclaimed addiction to plastic surgery, Burge was also criticized for revealing she got her young daughter pole-dancing lessons at the age of 6 and helped her 17-year-old get Botox. She lives in the U.S. so her daughter, now 8, can compete in beauty pageants.
"It gets highly distorted," Burge claimed on “Anderson,” telling Cooper her bad reputation is the media’s fault for distorting the facts.
When asked if she had given her daughter Botox, Burge first denied it before admitting she was really just splitting hairs.
"No I didn't," she said. "My daughter is a professional dancer. She perpetually sweated on her forehead and so the best answer for that was actually a shot of Botox. And I didn't actually give it to her."
Seemingly fed up with the answers he was getting to his questions, Cooper cut the interview short, telling her, “I’m just going to stop.”
"That's fine, that's good," she said, smiling as she got up to leave the set.
Burge, who holds the Guinness World Record for undergoing the most plastic surgeries, has been making the talk-show rounds recently.
COSMETIC INJECTABLES
Earlier this month she defended herself on the “Today” show in an appearance to promote her memoir "The Half a Million Pound Girl" and her charity Don't Mess With Me, which aids victims of domestic violence, and said she got her first plastic surgery to repair the damage after a violent attack.
"I'm shocked that the media want to portray me in such a negative light when all I do is help millions of people," she said.
While Cooper expressed support for her cause, he later said he ended the interview because he didn’t feel Burge was capable of an honest conversation.
"I always try to be respectful of the guests, but ... I got the feeling that this was about publicity for her,” he said in a backstage interview posted on his website. “I regret having her on in the first place and I regret that that's how things ended.”
