Kidnapped NYT Journos Describe To Anderson Cooper The Sinking Feeling Of Knowing They Were About To Be Shot

This was a terrific interview.
Last night Anderson Cooper held the first primetime interview with the four New York Times journalists who were captured and beaten in Libya.
Stephen Farrell, Tyler Hicks, Lynsey Addario and Anthony Shadid recounted their experiences and the fear of being killed by the military working for Muammar Qaddafi.
Shadid expanded on the feelings he described during the first few minutes of the kidnapping, during which he and his colleagues feared execution as they were forced to lie on the ground:
- "It wasn't kind of that that like desperate, flailing about when you're about to be killed. It's almost that — it's hard to describe other than resignation, that emptiness when you know that moment is drawing near."
