A nine-month investigation into counterfeit drugs may shake your confidence in the purity of prescription medications, particularly those purchased on the Internet. CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta reports on an international web of manufacturers and distributors whose dangerous and often deadly products are showing up in the world's drug supply. FDA Commissioner Margaret Hamburg says the vast majority of drugs are safe, but there is still reason for concern. "We do know that in certain countries, somewhere between 30 and 50 percent of really important drugs...are in fact, counterfeit." Hamburg then points out that 80 percent of the ingredients in the drugs Americans take come from overseas.
