The Shopocalypse Is Happening in New York - Right Now!

Assignment: Black Friday: The shop-ocalypse

Black Friday: The shop-ocalypse

Assignment background — Yes, it’s once again the most wonderful time of the year — Black Friday. The day after Thanksgiving is the single busiest retail day of the year, when the holiday shopping season kicks off in earnest as stores lure customers with a cornucopia of sales, discounts and specials.

What are your Black Friday plans this year? Are you going to be lining up before midnight to be there for one of the many 4am store openings? How have economic hard times forced you to prioritize your holiday gift-giving budget?

We want to see those long lines and hear about your Black Friday experiences; upload your photos and videos to iReport by Monday, November 28. The best submissions could be used on CNN!

Shoppers jam Macy's flagship store in New York's Herald Square in the first minutes of Black Friday.

When I first saw this picture I thought it was the line to enter the 'Anderson' auditorium -
- been there. It can't get any crazier.
