Hurry, the velvet museum is moving
Monday, January 11, 2010

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - January 11, 2010 -- Caren Anderson and Carl Baldwin have portraits of everyone from Abraham Lincoln to a nearly nude Anderson Cooper.
And they're all painted on velvet.
For the past four years, the couple has been sharing their collection of velvet paintings at the Velveteria museum in Portland, Ore.
But time is running out to see Honest Abe or Michael Jackson on black velvet.
The museum is closing Jan. 24.
The couple is moving to Southern California.
They tell The Oregonian newspaper they hope to eventually reopen there.

My own interpretation of An Almost Naked Anderson:
My interpretation of A Classic Greek God; which Anderson really is! [reed below]
In ancient Greek mythology Andreus was the god of gay men, whom Eros fell in love with, but a jealous Narcissus, who had been Andreus lover for two months, got mad and tricked Andreus into coming to Earth and go to a gay bar -- which were very popular during classical Greece. Humans, not knowing Andreus was in reality their god, surrounded him and wanted his attention, not to mention some intimate moment(s) with him.
At that moment, Eros, feeling horny, was looking for Andreus just to have Narcissus point his finger towards Earth and showing Eros the attention Andreus was getting by all the gay men. Eros burst into a rage of jealousy and threw a spell on Andreus, condemning him to remain on Earth for the rest of his life as a mere mortal. A mere mortal that Andreus realized he really was when he dared Poseidon's son Phelps to a one lap race at the Olympic pool. Obviously, Andreus, having lost, had to come to the recognition that he was A Mere Mortal without his god qualities any more.
Needless to say, the gay men of Ancient Greece, and all the way to the Modern Era, have been immensely blissful to have such an ex-god amongst them, and Andreus has become an icon of many men, and many women too; all of whom consider Andreus, now named Anderson, a real god on their own world and times.
The above chronicle was traduced by yours truly (moi) from two ancient Greek tablets found buried deep within the foundation of the Acropolis about six months ago. The stone tables are believed to be from the year 400 B.C. It took five months to translate them; it was the Andreus (Andreus) and the Eros (Eros) that caught my attention to the tablets, the two obviously gods' names were repeated quite a bit, and I felt a very strong connection with the tablets; I knew there was a story that needed to be told.

The writing:
According to the perception of contemporary science, as well as the text being written in three scripts, two languages had been used:
Ancient Egyptian (written with hieroglyphs and in the demotic script)
Ancient Greek (written in ancient Greek script)
